TPARK

Chief Technology Officer May 2018 - present

TPARK is the market leader in parking management solution, providing an innovative system for mobile parking payment. The system is deployed in over 50 cities across Romania and over 60 cities across Hungary. It has over 650,000 users, over 800,000 registered cars and over 8 million transactions processed (exclusively for parking).

Undoubtedly working at TPARK is a huge challenge for me. I've come across many difficulties and I'm constantly learning in the field of development, management, and business.

My main responsibilities include:

  • maintaining a big codebase of web and mobile technologies
  • modernizing and improving the current system by adopting new technologies and tools
  • implementing new features that expand across the TPARK platform
  • manage a development team that works with web and mobile technologies
  • involvement in extending the development team by hiring new people
  • collaborating with other companies to grow the TPARK platform

Overall I am very satisfied for having such an opportunity to learn and grow. I'm looking forward to strengthening the team, improve the platform and educate myself.

[e-spres-oh]

Web Developer November 2016 - April 2018

[e-spres-oh] is a web & product development company. They specialize in small-to-enterprise web and mobile applications.

The [e-spres-oh] team is great. I was very happy to be part of the team and to work on their biggest project.

I had the opportunity to work with technologies and libraries as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, Laravel, MySQL, React Native and Electron. I worked both frontend and backend.

On the main project that I worked on, I mostly used TDD and I did my best to improve the codebase. I also worked on two internal projects. On the first project, I had the opportunity to lead the team on a proof of concept mobile application. For the second project, I had the opportunity to be on the product team for a small web application.

My main responsibilities were to develop new features, fix bugs and improve the code quality. I worked both frontend and backend, but I also did some devops and QA tasks. I did my best to improve the workflows, the code quality and to help the business thrive.

As for technologies and libraries, I worked with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and jQuery. When possible, I used techniques like TDD and BDD. I also worked on setting up continuous integration with Jenkins and I helped the team to migrate from SVN to GIT.

Microdevt Web Solutions

Team Lead October 2014 - June 2015

Microdevt Web Solutions was my personal web development, web hosting, and web training agency. We were a team of three people and we delivered around 15 websites together.

Having my own business was a great experience for me. My crew and I worked hard for satisfying clients by giving them quality work and support in the small details. I learned the basics of having a business, how to talk with clients, how to manage a team, what is important and not important to a team and how to prioritize things. I was part of the business side and the development side.

Also, during this time I made mentoring for my team and I was a trainer at Institutul Multimedia Romano-Elvetian. I teach basics of web development on one-year courses, that would conclude with an exam taken with me and teachers from HEG Institute.
